Self portrait photography | Inspiration & video tutorial

So I’ve always tried to take self portraits of my own. Mainly because I’m the one model that’s always available, and also because I love to have nice photos of myself =) the process of trying to capture the perfect self portrait was something that has always drained me. I would set one of my tripods in front of my cam, and the other to hold the camera. I would then pre-focus on my target tripod, switch to MF mode so that the focus doesn’t change, set the self-timer, and then move the model tripod and stand in its place and wait for the shutter button to go off. After a few times back and forth, that would be enough to qualify as my work-out of the day!

So I’ve been thinking lately that I should look it up. I mean there must be some other way, having seen all those amazing self portraits of others on the web. So long story short, here’s a video I found on YouTube, created by Adorama Photography TV, illustrating a few ways you can go about capturing a perfect self portrait, no sweat!
