Fereshte Faustini is a Persian-American Baha’i who resides in Wyoming, USA. She worked for many years as a software Test Engineer for major corporations such as Microsoft, Google, ShotSpotter and a few startups. She expresses her innate love for nature through art and in particular landscape and nature photography.
Fereshte, through studying and her own creativity, has developed a unique set of techniques for maintaining the realism of the original digital scene. Her techniques allow her to process images with minimal modifications to the original scene while uncovering the three dimensional aspect using a two dimensional medium.
Fereshte understands the art of composition and places great importance on framing a scene. A photo, no matter how well processed, is not worthy of recognition if it is not framed well. Fereshte also emphasizes light in her work; she believes lighting conditions can make or breaks a photo. Understanding light in photography is most essential in producing great photos.
Fereshte now spends much of her time traveling and capturing the great landscapes of the world. Although she has traveled internationally, she always enjoys returning to the Western United States where she resides. She believes the Western United States is heaven on Earth for photographers because it is so varied in natural beauty and grandiosity . Her favorite shutter grounds are National Parks and State Parks found in California, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Montana and Oregon.
Fereshte loves to help others experience the joy of Landscape photography, you can join her and other photographers on her photo workshops found at here.
