"Ever since I was young I’ve always had the urge to preserve moments of my life. First by keeping a journal, then by collecting smells into little boxes (though that did not work very well as you can imagine, still for a little girl that was very disappointing).
I need to capture moments because it is the only way to remember them, to keep them alive and palpable in my soul. It is the only way to stop that moment in time and cherish it forever. With photos you can do that, time and time again. It’s like magic.

love lorena’s work! so much inspiration to be found there. her flickr stream and blog are both lovely. the way she sees the world is magical…she truly does stop time in a photograph.
Wow! Great photos. Still life photography is something that is very interesting to do. Natural lighting sure is one of the best lighting for photography according to me. I love photographing in natural light as well, of course there is a reason for that. I still don’t have a separate strobe or flash with me. But still there is no question about the importance of natural lighting in any setting.
So gorgeous.
