" I am a graphic designer working in the publishing industry. Though I have had an interest in photography since college, my real passion as a photographer began when I purchased my first entry level DSLR in 2007. Since then I’ve been teaching myself how to make better and better images, both technically and creatively. My interests are varied — travel, people, nature, architecture — I’m drawn to many different subject matters. I especially love landscapes at dawn — always chasing the early morning mist! My photography is essentially my response to the beauty that I see around me, in people’s faces, in the changing colors of the seasons, in the rising mist on the local rivers. " ~ Kevin van der Leek
