Katherine Gaines, founder of AmbientEye Photography, is a freelance music, fashion, and animal photographer in the Baltimore/Washington DC area.
Having always been into art growing up, Katherine first found herself in photography back in 1998 when she got her first SLR and she has been hooked ever since. She has taken photography classes at the College of DuPage, Goucher College, and the Maryland Institute College of Art. And she graduated with a degree in art and psychology in 2003 from Goucher.
Katherine finds her inspiration in the works of George Hurrell, Diane Arbus, Alfred Eisenstaedt, and Richard Avedon, among others.
