“ My name is Luuk Belgers and I’m a 25 year-old Dutch nature photographer. My passion for nature photography basically started while spending many hours fly-fishing on a local river near my hometown. During the summer, the river is full of life with many insects, beavers, king fishers and other birds. When seeing all these pretty sights in beautiful evening light I suddenly felt a strong urge to capture these moments on camera. From that moment on, a new hobby was born. Now I try to be original, do things that haven’t been done before by all those other nature photographers. Try to get people to want to be right there, at that moment in time when the photo was taken. Every now and then I succeed. Those moments when I don’t succeed only stimulate me to try even harder. “

hi ?
hey these are amazing i was wondering what kind of camera/lens you use
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your comment. Lenses depend on the subject. My main lenses are a Nikon 10-24mm, Nikon 16-85mm, a Nikon 300mm F4, Nikon 500mm F4, and a Sigma 150mm f2.8 for macro work. The specific lens for each shot is mentioned on my website. Just click on any photo and the lens name is displayed below each shot.
Regards, Luuk

Hi , I really love all these photos of yours.. All these r awesome.. <3
Im jz a beginner on this subject.. I had
the same question which jeff asked..
And I got the answer for it n i have another question..
What kind of camera you recommend me to use.. Im a guy who z still using
14mp sony digital still camera n 8mp mobile camera
But i wanna go lot further than those…
Hi Ash,
If I were you I would definitely go for a dslr camera and buy some lenses. I think its best to start out with a 70-300mm zoom and a macro lens. For landscapes, a 16-85 would be a good start. Camera is often less important than your lenses. Lenses hold their value much better than a dslr body. I’d either buy a Canon or Nikon dslr (or even Sony). Maybe something like a Nikon D3200? All depends on your budget of course…
Megapixels are not important by the way. I’m still using 12 MP!
Also, remember that 95% of the time needed to take a very good shot goes into good preparation!
Good luck!
