“ My story is actually quite simple; I just love nature and I love photography. The combination is a win-win.
Me joining Flickr was the start of when photography as a hobby turned in a full-blown passion. The more pictures I viewed, the higher I set my goal and the more I tried to improve my own photographs. But although I learned a lot about the technical aspects of photography I always tried to maintain the thing that I think is the most important criterium of photography: A picture has to ‘talk’ to me, touch me, or at least evoke an emotion.
Early last year I received an email. Canon Japan asked how I would like to be featured in their corporate branding commercial built around the introduction of the new 1D mark IV. Apparently they had seen my Flickr account and liked what they saw. A long story short; I spent the month of April in Japan shooting commercials, magazine ads and giving interviews. It was the start of a completely new life. “ ~ Hennie van Heerden

Have you heard of Dominique Vinciquerra….check out his website. He’s from lower Manhattan and just flew up to do a photo shoot at the Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen. He also does animals and nature and displays internationally. This one will be at the famous Art Museum in France I guess. Passing on networking information. Dec. 2011
