  1. Best thing I have learnt from reading the blog is that it doesn’t matter your camera’s resolution as much as it matters the size of the digital sensor :)

    please pick me ;)

  2. I really enjoyed the post on DIY beauty dishes! http://www.arenacreative.com/blog This is the beautiful part of photography – the ability to custom make simple tools using basic materials, and “Mickey-Mousing” it once in a while. It’s a common misconception that you need all pro gear to accomplish certain results. Sometimes you just need a little bit of ingenuity, time, and patience to produce great results on a next-to-nothing budget.

  10. i don’t live in US but I learned many things on your great site. Too bad I can’t compete :(

  11. I like you advice when photographing toddlers. Giving them a toy rather than trying to pose them is a great idea! My baby sis is big into photography and she has taught me a lot.

  12. I learned about working more with photoshop. Thanks.

  13. One of your articles really helped me overall with photograhpy….when you said “You also need to train yourself to disregard what your eyes tell you, and think in terms of your specific camera sensor and its capabilities, envisioning how light is falling on your scene, how its properties will change with time, whether that change would better serve your purposes if you waited a little longer or came back later, or if you can better recompose your shot to better accentuate your intentions”…that changed my whole perspective on shooting pics. There are many technical components but if you can get yourself into that mindset and train yourself to see the scene how the camera sees the scene…it will greatly improve your photos.
